I started writing this a couple of months ago. We are in a state of denial. Race became an issue when we elected the 1st Black President and it has just continued with Donald Trump who has ignited a fire in those just like him. He has said what so many have wanted to say. WE ALL HAVE DONE IT! We all have preconceived notions and judgements about other people in general. Take a moment and remember that person that you are about to talk about has feelings too.

“THUG!” “GHETTO!” “NONBELIEVER” “HEALER”
“FAKE!” “ANOREXIC!” “BITCH” “BELIEVER” “THIEF”
“BISEXUAL” “HOMOSEXUAL” “WELFARE” “LESBIAN”
“SINGLE” “POOR” “HOMELESS” “RICH” “ARROGANT”
“IGNORANT” “BOUGIE” “SKINHEAD” “RACIST” “CONSERVATIVE”
“WHORE” “STRIPPER” “RADICAL” “GOOD HAIR” “WEAVE”

Right. And that’s what he’s played into…those insecurities and those judgments that we’ve all whispered and texted about others. Now, it’s almost like those “chickens coming home to roost,” as Malcolm once said.
