We are living in a world where the LYNCH MOB has returned. They have returned with a vengeance. They no longer wear hoods over their heads, they are wearing blue, black, and brown. They have guns instead of rope. They are getting paid, they are riding in cars that state “to protect and serve” but who are you protecting and serving.

I am tired. I have a headache, my heart is hurting for my black men, my black race. I get chills just for thinking about the state of my race. The state of my handsome black men, for my husband, for my brother, for my son, for my nephews, and for everyone that looks like them. They are being targeted, they are not given their rights, they are being LYNCHED.
Police are the “NEW LYNCH MOB”. For quite sometime, I have kept my thoughts and feelings to myself, but I cannot hold my peace. My race is who I am. I am proud to be BLACK. I am proud to be a woman of color. I am not ashamed of who I am but I am ashamed of my AMERICA.

What do you see? I see a lynching, I see murder, I see ambivolence, I see bigotry, I see hatred, I SEE A NATIONAL CRISIS!
Its a shoot first and ask questions later, but it is too late.
Its time to WAKE UP!
STAND UP!
LOOK UP!

I agree. I wish we would mobilize in many ways.

I watched an episode of NBA Open Court. Jim Brown was a guest on the show and he mentioned that his best friend was a cop and was a white man. I had no qualms with what Jim Brown was saying because he has done more for the Black Community, than we could ever fathom. I did however had a reality check. Most of the celebrities who are black, has a social disconnect with us. I understand that every case with black men getting killed by the police or injured is different. I agreed with Jim Brown saying as Black people part of it is our fault for not having fathers around to teach our young boys how to respect themselves. Kenny Smith had the best point. Us blacks are being arrested at a disproportionately rate than anyone else when we only make up 12% of the US population. Sorry for the rant but this was RANT worthy. Great post

Thanks! No problem for the RANT! Rants are definitely needed. I agree with you about our black athletes and there is a disconnect between us and the community. There are not many black celebrities who have taken a stand because of the consequences. Look at Cam Newton, he did nothing because he doesn’t want to lose endorsements but if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything.
